Second only to religion, cricket is the most inspirational entity in the Caribbean and the British Commonwealth. And second only to the University of the West Indies, the most integrating factor in the English speaking Caribbean. As a Caribbean experience, it is arguably one of the most shared and relatable. One of the reasons why I wrote this story is because I think that the game has a significant role to play in the future development of the region.
