Grenada National Museum

The main structure of the Grenada National Museum was built in the late 1700s. The building housed three hotels, and then also a warehouse of a local merchant. The Grenada National Museum was opened in 1976. The museum displays historical artifacts and exhibits related to Grenada. Collections include, but are not limited to slavery, first inhabitants, plantation economy, whaling and fishing archaeology and early transport and technology. Weekly activities at the National Museum include the following: Second Fridays: Live cultural performances: jazz, dancing, drumming, singing, poetry, etc., and Museum Bistro Outdoor lunches nested within this historical setting
