Cenotaph
Historic SitesThe granite Cenotaph honours those who served and died in the First and Second World Wars, as well the Korean War. Mackenzie Waters, a Toronto architect, designed the monument in the late 1920s. In 1931, Waters was an associate architect for the design of Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. The Cenotaph was unveiled on July 4, 1928 by Lord Willingdon, Governor General of Canada.
