Claireville Conservation Area

Claireville Conservation Area is 848 hectares of natural and forested area that straddles Peel Region and Toronto.

Claireville Conservation Area (CCA) is the largest natural setting of its kind, on the doorstep of four major GTA cities: Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto and Vaughan. The natural landscape of CCA boasts wetlands, valleys, forests, grasslands, and the west branch of the Humber River and its tributaries.

Claireville North Multi-use Trail Project

TRCA staff are currently hard at work constructing 3.9 kilometres of new granular multi-use trails on the property. When complete, the trail will connect a new trailhead and parking area off of Goreway Drive to the Conservation Drive parking lot south of Queen Street. In addition to the development of the spine trail, three additional communities connections will be built, providing enhanced recreation opportunities and improved active-transportation in the area. Ultimately, the trail will become a part of the West Humber Trail System and accomplish key objectives of the CCA Management Plan Update (2011), the TRCA Trail Strategy (2019), as well as Brampton’s Active Transportation Master Plan (2019).
